Every presenter on London Tower Block Radio has an email address, and we love hearing from you. By sending an email to any address ending in @ltbr.fm you agree to these terms.

1.What you are agreeing to

  • Your message may be read out, summarised or paraphrased on air, on our website and on our social channels, by a presenter or by our automated systems. We may shorten or adapt it.
  • We refer to you only by your first name and, if you tell us, the area you are writing from (“Adam from Peckham”). We never read out surnames, addresses, phone numbers or email addresses.
  • We cannot promise to read, use or reply to any message.

2.What not to send

Messages are screened automatically before a presenter sees them. To protect you and other people, a message is set aside and never used if it contains:

  • personal data about you or anyone else beyond your first name: full names of other people, phone numbers, email or postal addresses, social-media handles, account or card numbers, or details that would identify someone;
  • commercial content: advertising, promotion, sponsorship or partnership offers, prices, links, product or company names, or requests to plug anything;
  • content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, sexual, violent, political campaigning, religious argument, drug-related, defamatory, or about legal disputes;
  • anything sent by or on behalf of a person under 16.

We keep a record that a message was received and why it was set aside, but a set-aside message is never shown to a presenter or used on air.

3.How we handle your data

  • Emails are received on our behalf by our email provider and stored by the station for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically. Screening records (whether a message was usable, and the reason) may be kept longer without the message text.
  • We use an AI system to screen messages and to write short summaries for presenters. Message text is sent to that system only for this purpose.
  • We do not sell your details or use them for marketing.
  • You may ask us to delete anything you have sent by writing to studio@ltbr.fm from the same address. We will act within 30 days.

4.Repeat misuse

Addresses that repeatedly send unsuitable messages are blocked automatically and their messages are discarded without screening.

5.Changes

We may update these terms; the version date at the top is the one that applies to messages received after it. This is a community radio project run from London, and these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
