Privacy Notice

Version
7 October 2026
Cookies
None set by us

London Tower Block Radio needs no account, shows no adverts and sets no cookies of its own. This notice explains the little that does happen when you visit www.ltbr.fm or listen to the station, and how to switch off the one thing you can switch off.

1.Visitor statistics

To learn which pages people read, we count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each page view it records the page address (without anything after a “?”), the site that sent you, your browser, operating system and device type, and a country worked out from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored.

To tell one visit from the next, Vercel makes a code from your request that changes every day, so you cannot be followed from one day to the next or across other websites. We only ever see totals. Vercel Inc. runs this for us as our processor; our reason for using it is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is useful.

You can stop your visits being counted at any time with the switch below. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat that as the same choice.

2.Settings kept on your device

The player remembers your choices in your browser’s local storage so they are still there next time. They never leave your device and we cannot see them:

  • •volume, the listening-delay and zoom knobs, and the equaliser;
  • •whether the lyrics strip is open, and whether you dismissed the install prompt;
  • •a measurement of your stream delay, used to line up the timeline with what you hear;
  • •your visitor-statistics choice above (ltbr-analytics-optout).

Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes all of them.

3.Listening and live data

The audio comes from our stream server, stream.ltbr.fm, and the live timeline arrives over a connection to our real-time messaging provider. Like any server on the internet, both receive your IP address and browser details in order to send you the data. We use them only to deliver the stream and to count how many people are listening.

If our own stream is unavailable while you are listening, the player switches to the station’s YouTube broadcast. That player is loaded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only at that moment; once it plays, Google’s privacy policy applies to it. The same applies to any YouTube video embedded in the Transmission Log.

4.Hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel, whose servers process each request, including your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

5.Emails to presenters

If you write to a presenter at an @ltbr.fm address, the Listener Email Terms (www.ltbr.fm/terms) explain how your message is used and how long it is kept.

6.Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it or to stop using it. Write to studio@ltbr.fm; we will answer within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

7.Changes

If this notice changes, the new version is published here with a new date. The date at the top always shows the version in force.
